Prof. Dr. Hasan BABACAN participated in the program Hayatın İçinden on TRT Antalya Radio.

Our department faculty member Prof. Dr. Hasan BABACAN participated in the program "Hayatın İçinden" broadcast on TRT Antalya Radio on Friday, August 30 at 11:15, and was a guest speaker in the talk titled "Şehrini Yazanlar". In this talk, he provided information about the memories of Hafız İbrahim Demiralay, the leader of the National Struggle in Isparta and the founder of the Isparta Defense of Rights Society, which Hasan Babacan prepared for publication, and within the framework of these memories, the National Struggle in Isparta and Isparta's contributions to the Western Front.

In the mentioned talk, the role of Hafız İbrahim Demiralay in the Turkish War of Independence and his importance within the Kuvâ-yi Milliye were evaluated. Important information, documents, and memories encountered while preparing Hafız İbrahim's memoirs for publication were discussed. At the same time, the struggle of Isparta to avoid occupation during the National Struggle period was mentioned.

In this talk, the role played by Hafız İbrahim Demiralay as a member of parliament for Isparta in the TBMM during his duties, and in the reconstruction of Isparta after the war was also discussed. 

It was emphasized that this memoir reveals some unknown or little-known facts about Isparta's National Struggle period. These memoirs and documents provided information on how the people of Isparta contributed to the National Struggle. At the same time, the resistance and support of the people during that period were mentioned.

At the end of the talk, it was conveyed to the listeners how important these books and documents are for both the academic and general readership.
